Notice of Temporary Closure - Chinese New Year
As COVID-19 continues to spread across the globe, Gold Coast Dharma Realm (GCDR) Buddhist Monastery decided to close to the public at all times temporarily. This decision is in line with health advice regarding social distancing as an effective and proven intervention in minimizing the spread of infectious disease in the community.
People can write to GCDR [email@example.com] to offer candles or set up plaque during the Chinese New Year – the Four-Day Medicine Master Buddha Session, and participate online using ZOOM [https://zoom.us/j/127598942].
We will monitor and evaluate developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we look forward to reopening and resuming regular event programming.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and GCDR wishes you all have a prosperous Chinese New Year.

Regrettably the staff of the Gold Coast Dharma Realm have decided to pause our weekly Sunday morning meditation class. The risk of infection by the Coronavirus 2019 (Covid-19) is greater than expected and has only begin to unfold. We will assess the situation in May and post news of when the class can resume.
We hope to post a weekly meditation podcast that will keep our group focused on the practice of meditation. Check our website: www.gcdr.org.au for more information.
In the meantime meditation is a fine activity well-suited for any periods of quarantine! Keep sitting!
