Gold Coast Dharma Realm Buddhism Class for Children
In accordance with the Venerable Master Hsuan Hua’s vows on education, Gold Coast Dharma Realm Shurangama Sagely Monastery will hold Buddhism classes for children. It is hoped that drawing from the best of modern and traditional approaches, as well as integrating Eastern and Western values, we can focus on moral development and spiritual learning. We aim to teach our children how to lead a wholesome life and plant seeds of goodness that will blossom in the future.
The Venerable Master said: "If we educate our students so that everyone knows how to treasure themselves, their home, and their country, then the world will be peaceful even if we don't seek it. Because people don't trouble themselves, they don’t trouble others. If we don’t do unreasonable things in the family, we will be good and abiding citizens. In society, we can also influence other people to respect and love each other. There will be no deception or lies.”
The Gold Coast Dharma Realm Buddhism Class for Children is taught in both Chinese and English, with "Standards for Students" as the basic textbook. We will introduce ethics, meditation and Buddhism in order to lay a solid moral foundation, guide students to understand their self nature and explore the truth of universe.
Age: 4 to 15 years old
Time: Saturdays from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
